For the first time, I'm reading hundreds of letters that my father sent to my mother before, during, and after his tour in Vietnam. I don't know what they say and I don't know where this is going, so we'll be finding out at the same time. He passed away in 1992 when he was 44 years old, but they began when he was 19. She was 17…

This one was much easier to listen too (emotionally). His voice reminded me of Jason’s, at times. The great midwestern accent. Cool helicoper sound in the background.

It’s fun to hear myself mentioned. I have to remind everyone I was only 12 years old at the time so what could he expect in terms of a letter??? To me this tape sounded more like Jeff than the first one, maybe it’s just because it’s been so many years since we’ve heard his voice. And Ethan, I’m with Alana on this – what a great thing to do for all of us.
